Lab picnic 2021
After more than a year of pandemic, we were finally able to gather on Grantchester Meadows for a picnic!
This was also a chance to say goodbye to Kristoffer Haurum Johansen who submitted his thesis and has now returned to Denmark.
Race for Life and Chariots of Fire runs, Cambridge 2019
Klaus Okkenhaug likes to run when he doesn’t think about PI3K signalling. He has convinced the lab (some more willing than others) to join him in several races in Cambridge and around through the years. Lately, numerous Okkenvikings ran both the Race for Life race and the Chariots of Fire relay race in Cambridge.
Lab outings, The annual Okkenvikings/Roychoudhuri/Edgar punt
The last 3 years the Okkenviking and the Rahul Roychoudhuri lab have attempted to punt from Cambridge to Grantchester, some years more successful than others. 2019 was no exception, and the trip was this year expanded with the James Edgar lab joining, and the trip was followed with BBQ at Darwin College. One of the many social things we do in the Okkenvikings lab.
